In the first of three short videos, Journey to Pixar, artist and designer Paul Topolos reflects on his passion for paper, and his fascination for early special effects films like Star Trek and Star Wars. From his fan base as a child, he developed an interest in working in the film industry, and this video includes references to mentors and the importance of collaboration and hard work at Pixar. Paul describes his time as a Barista, and how the importance of refining and improving skills is common to many industries, who are in service to the telling of stories.

In the third of three short videos, Partly Cloudy from Pixar, Paul Topolos comments on the continuing fascination clouds have held for him throughout his film and animation career, which culminated in his recent work on Partly Cloudy. The video shows a demonstration by Paul of the stages of creating a cloud painting in Photoshop. He emphasises the importance of primary research, and describes the metaphors of sunrises and sunsets in movie making.
